ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — After a 3-0 victory in the GAC opener versus Arkansas-Monticello, Henderson State (11-2, 1-0) will play its first conference road game on Thursday night against the Southern Arkansas Lady Muleriders (3-9, 0-2). With the win over UAM, Henderson's win streak improved to 10 matches, the team's longest streak of consecutive wins since 2006. The Reddies were paced by junior outside hitter Courtney Bolf, who collected her sixth double-double of the season with 13 kills and 10 digs. Freshman setter Taylor Scalzi also starred for Henderson, and recorded 23 assists in the Reddies' straight-set victory.

Scouting Southern Arkansas
The Lady Muleriders' 2018 season got off to a quick start when they won three of four matches at the Dr. Margaret Downing Invitational, but things went south quickly, as they have been unable to work their way back into the win column since that weekend, and have dropped eight-straight matches. Thursday's contest marks Southern Arkansas's first GAC home match, as the Lady Muleriders dropped their first two conference matches at Arkansas Tech and at Ouachita Baptist.

SAU is looking to improve upon a difficult 2017 season. The Lady Muleriders finished the year with an 8-23 overall record, which included a 1-15 mark in conference play. Henderson swept both meetings with the Lady Muleriders last season, winning 3-0 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, before spoiling SAU's senior night with a 3-2 victory in Magnolia, Arkansas, in the final match of the year.
