Reddies Take on UAM in Final Road Match of 2019

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Henderson State will look for its 13th win its its last 15 matches on Tuesday when the Reddies travel to Monticello, Arkansas to face UAM at 6 p.m.

The Reddies (19-11, 9-5) are one win away from securing back-to-back 20 win seasons for the first time since the 2000-2001. Although Henderson's most recent GAC victory, a 3-0 sweep of SAU, punched HSU's ticket to the conference tournament for the second straight season, HSU is looking to improve its seeding in the last two regular season matches of the season.

Currently tied for fourth with Southern Nazarene and Harding, the Reddies can climb as high as the No. 3 seed in the GAC Tournament which will be held at Bank OZK Arena in Hot Springs, Arkansas on Nov. 21-23.

Arkansas-Monticello | (11-16, 6-8) | 9th in GAC
After taking over the UAM program as the interim head coach last season, Jocelyn Garcia has made impressive strides with the Blossoms in her first full year in charge. With two GAC matches left, UAM has six wins, one more than the combined conference wins for the program in 2017 and 2018. One of Monticello's six victories includes a dramatic 3-2 win at Arkansas Tech on Nov. 1. The win gave UAM a season sweep over ATU and was first time the Blossoms had won in Russellville since 2009. Despite the improvement, as it stands, UAM is on the outside looking in for the GAC Tournament. The Blossoms can potentially be eliminated from GAC postseason play on Tuesday with a loss combined with wins by Arkansas Tech and Ouachita Baptist.
