SEARCY, Ark. – Double-doubles from Courtney Bolf and Abby Blackburn were not enough to stop a determined Harding side as the Reddies lost their first GAC match of the season 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 25-17). 

Bolf finished with 10 kills and 12 digs while Blackburn racked up 14 assists and 10 digs, but the Harding defense kept HSU's offense in check, holding the Reddies to just a .040 attack percentage.

Henderson will look to get back on track on Thursday, when Arkansas Tech visits the Duke Wells Center at 6:30 p.m.

SET ONE
After Henderson and Harding split the first four points of the match, the Lady Bisons went on the first run of the set with an 8-3 spurt which put them in front 10-5. The Reddies responded, however, with a 6-1 run of their own that tied things at 11-11. Unfortunately, the Reddies were unable to take the lead as HU regained control 18-14. A timeout from HSU did not quell the Lady Bisons attack, as Harding finished the set on a 7-2 run to take an early lead, 25-16.

SET TWO
The Reddies looked to respond early in the second set after three kills from Bolf put them in front 5-2. Harding had other plans, though, and ripped off an 8-0 run to take a 10-5 advantage. With Harding leading 18-10, Henderson finally found its rhythm and used an 8-2 spurt to pull within two, 20-18. The Reddies comeback came up short, however, as Harding took five of the last six points in the set and a commanding 2-0 lead in the match with a 25-19 win.

SET THREE
The Reddies found themselves playing catch-up in the third set after a quick 3-0 spurt from HU put the Lady Bisons in front 6-3. Henderson responded with a lengthy 10-6 run to take a 13-12 lead. HSU's slight advantage would not last long, as Harding took four points in a row and sent the Reddies into a timeout trailing 16-13. Although HSU grabbed a point out of the break, the Lady Bisons controlled the rest of the set, finishing on a 9-3 run to win 25-17 and take the match 3-0.
