ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — After seeing its four-game winning streak snapped last Saturday in Oklahoma, Henderson State heads home and will look to continue its recent run of success over rival Ouachita Baptist when the Reddies host the Lady Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
REDDIES REPORT
- Henderson State (10-4, 5-3) went cold from the outside against Southwestern Oklahoma State last Saturday, hitting just 2-of-18 3-point attempts after splashing 11 3-pointers each in the previous two contests. The two made 3-point field goals were the fewest by an HSU team since the 2015-16 season.
-  In the loss, the Reddies were led by sophomore Maci Mains who poured in a career-high tying 20 points for HSU. The Springdale native was aggressive for 26 minutes of action and hit 12-of-13 free throws for HSU. Mains is averaging 18.3 points per game over the last three contests.
- The day after Hailey Estes became Henderson State's all-time leading rebounder, she proved why she deserved that title, pulling down a career-high 19 rebounds in the loss to SWOSU. Estes also added 13 points to notch her sixth double-double of the season and her 25th of her career. The Conway native continues to top the GAC rebounding leaderboard, and is now the only player in the conference averaging more than 10 rebounds per game.
- Pink Jones filled up the stat sheet against SWOSU, finishing with eight points, three rebounds, three blocks, two steals and two assists against the Lady Dawgs. Jones is the only player in the GAC to rank in the top four of the conference in assists (5.4 per game), steals (2.8 per game), and blocks (1.1 per game).
- Henderson's head coach Jill Thomas has dominated Ouachita Baptist during her time in Arkadelphia, racking up an 11-2 record against OBU. The Reddies have won 10 of the last 11 matchups with the Lady Tigers.
HENDERSON STATE MILESTONE WATCH
- Hailey Estes became Henderson State's all-time leading rebounder against Northwestern Oklahoma State on Jan. 9. Estes has now pulled down 823 rebounds for her career. Estes also needs 16 points to move into seventh place on Henderson's all-time scoring list.
- Pink Jones needs five steals to become the fifth player in HSU history to record 200 steals in a career.
SCOUTING OUACHITA BAPTIST
- Ouachita Baptist (4-10, 1-7) has struggled with depth in the 2019-20 season as just eight players have registered a single minute of action for the Lady Tigers. During their 78-68 loss to Northwestern Oklahoma State last Saturday, OBU sent just six players onto the court.
- Despite a thin bench, the Lady Tigers can create mismatches with three talented post players in Eden Crow, Madison Brittain, and Madison Raney. All three average double-figures while Crow leads the team shooting 55% from the field.
- Crow, Brittain, and Ramey have all played extremely well as of late. Crow is averaging 11.8 points and 12.6 rebounds in her last five contests. Brittain has scored 10 points or more in four straight games including a season-high 24 points against Oklahoma Baptist, and Raney is scoring almost 15 points per games during OBU's last six outings.
- Despite the improved offensive performances, the Lady Tigers have scored 70 points or more in just one of eight conference games and are last in the GAC in scoring offense, averaging 59.5 points for the season. Â
