ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – For the first time this season, Henderson State (4-5, 4-4) will host the first-place Arkansas Tech Golden Suns Saturday, Feb. 20. Tip-off inside the Duke Wells Center is set for 2 p.m.

"[Arkansas Tech] is a great team with [five] all-conference type players on the court at all times. Our biggest goal is to keep them out of the paint and make them throw one or two extra passes," Henderson State head coach Jill Thomas said. "We need to score at a high rate. This Tech game is a true test of how far we have come."

REDDIES REPORT
- Saturday's matchup will mark the third time the Reddies and the Golden Suns have played. Arkansas Tech has taken the two previous meetings, both occurring inside Tucker Coliseum. The first contest at the Duke Wells Center initially scheduled for Jan. 21 was canceled.

- Henderson State is coming off its best win of the season after defeating the Harding Lady Bisons, 82-75. The win marked the first Reddies' victory inside Rhodes-Reaves Field House since 2016 and snapped the Lady Bisons' 11-game home winning streak.

- Maci Mains had a team-high 26 points against HU while sophomore Gracie Raby pulled down 15 rebounds for her first double-digit rebound game of her career. Karrington Whaley saw one of her best games of the season with 14 points on 87.5% shooting (7-8) and eight rebounds.

- Henderson State brings its GAC fifth-ranked scoring offense (75.5 points per game) against the second-ranked scoring defense of Arkansas Tech (64.1 ppg). HSU is ranked fourth in field goal percentage (41.4%) while ATU ranks first in field-goal percentage defense (31.2%).

- Lani Snowden, after moving into fifth all-time in 3-pointers made against Arkansas Tech in the first meeting this season, needs five triples to reach 154 made threes and move into fourth on the all-time list in HSU history.

SCOUTING ARKANSAS TECH
- Arkansas Tech's undefeated record was put to the test in its last two games, beating Ouachita Baptist in overtime 94-89 and then defeating Southern Arkansas 90-82. The Golden Suns currently sit atop the Eastern Division at 10-0 overall and are the last remaining undefeated team in the GAC.

- The Golden Suns came in at No. 22 in the latest Division II women's basketball rankings after sitting at 18 earlier in the year. ATU has a 17.2 average margin of victory this season. Dating back to last year, Tech has won 12 of its last 14 games.

- Arkansas Tech leads the GAC in field goal percentage at 48.3% with five girls shooting over 49% on a minimum of 50 field goal attempts. The Golden Suns are led in scoring by Ashlei Lopez at 16.6 ppg followed by Kaley Shipman at 14.3.
