ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Henderson State will play the University of Arkansas at Monticello Blossoms in a rescheduled Friday match tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. inside the Duke Wells Center.

Henderson State (1-3, 1-3)
Henderson State has found themselves in a bit of a funk lately, dropping its last three matches after starting the season 1-0, capitalized by a 3-1 loss at rival Ouachita Baptist this past Tuesday. HSU looked fantastic to open the match against OBU, taking the early lead with a 25-11 first-set triumph. After that, it was all Tigers as HSU lost the next three sets by a combined score of 75-62.

Makenzie Thoman was a bright spot for the Reddies in the first Battle of the Ravine of the season, however, as halfway through the second set the junior libero registered her 1000th dig of her career. The O'Fallon, Missouri, native finished with 24 digs on the evening, bringing her career total to 1015.

Taylor Scalzi continued to inch closer to the 11th all-time set assists mark as she put up 19 in the rivalry, getting her career total to 1259, 84 away from overtaking Gwen Smith for 11th and 126 away from moving into 10th. Scalzi will need to average 14 assists the rest of the season to get to 11th and 21 assists per game to crack the top-10.

The Reddies lead the all-time series against Arkansas-Monticello 18-12 and have won six in a row. A win Friday would tie the longest winning streak by HSU over the Blossoms in the series' history.

Arkansas-Monticello (2-2, 2-2)
After getting blanketed in each of its first two matches, 3-0, Arkansas-Monticello has won its last two matches over Ouachita Baptist and Southern Arkansas, 3-1 and 3-2, respectively. UAM's Katie Pearson has tallied 47 assists in each of the last two contests for the Blossoms.

Arkansas Monticello has seen its two best hitting matches in its two wins, garnering hitting percentages of .243 against Ouachita Baptist and .187 against Southern Arkansas. Victoria Hamilton boasted an individual hitting percentage of .360 with 10 kills to only one error on 25 total attacks against OBU and .278 against SAU where Hamilton was responsible for eight kills and three errors on 18 total attacks.

The Blossoms are 0-2 on the road and 2-0 at home this season, having failed to pick up a single set when playing away from Steelman Field House. UAM put together 46 kills in its two road matches combined compared to 116 when at home.
