OWENSBORO, Kentucky – Henderson State is off to its best start through nine matches since 2018 after defeating Lee University, 25-14, 25-22, 25-11, moving to 7-2 on the season. In 2018, Phil McDaniel led the Reddies to a 28-6 record a were runners-up in the Great American Championship Tournament.

As a team, Henderson hit .288 while holding Lee to an even .000 attacking percentage, including .292 in the second set and .394 in the third.

Brae Denton was a big reason for the Flames' struggles as she posted a season-high for the team with six blocks along with three kills and a .400 attack percentage.
