Head Coach McDaniel Gets 100th Win as HSU Defeats UAM

MONTICELLO, Ark. – Henderson State ends the season on a two-match win streak after defeating the University of Arkansas Monticello 3-0. Head coach Phil McDaniel has now reached 100 wins in his six seasons with the Reddies.

Kaitlyn Sykes had a season-high nine total blocks, the most on the team, and was one shy of tying her career record. Along with Sykes, Christiane Uzoh had five total blocks to help contribute to the team's 16.

Rounding out the Reddies' defense Brae Denton and Lexi Turner both had two blocks. Dani Dagley's streak of 20 or more digs ended as the libero was three shy with 17 digs while recording two service aces. Henderson State finished the match with seven aces in the match.

Uzoh led the attack with seven kills, while Larkin Luke and Aleah Stogner finished with four and three kills, respectively. Luke would have the final kill of the match, which would complete a late comeback in the third set.
