ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Henderson State racked up 14 hits in just seven innings and blanked Lyon College 8-0 on Tuesday afternoon at Clyde Berry Field.
Six different players had multi-hit games in the win, including

Henderson (26-12) scored two runs in the first inning on a two-RBI single from Butler, but stranded five runners in the second, third and fourth frames.
In the fifth, HSU got going again, and used six hits to plate four runs. Haskins hit a two-run blast in the inning and
Jacob Carroll recorded his first triple of the season.
Leading 6-0, the Reddies needed just one hit to score twice more in the sixth, as two walks, a hit batter and a fielder's choice helped extend the advantage out to 8-0.
Lyon College, who was limited to five hits by the Henderson pitching staff, had just two in the final four innings of play.
The Reddies fell to the Scots 7-2 in the second game of the doubleheader. Lyon had 11 hits to HSU's eight in the second half of the twin bill and Henderson hit into three different inning-ending double plays.
HSU returns to conference play this weekend when it travels to Ada, Oklahoma to face East Central in a single game at 2 p.m. Friday and a doubleheader at 1 p.m. Saturday.
