ARKADELPHIA, Ark.- After defeating Arkansas Tech Tuesday night, Henderson State will shift its focus to Thursday night when the University of Arkansas- Monticello visits the Duke Wells Center.

Henderson State (7-7, 1-1)
The Reddies got off to a fast start against the Golden Suns, winning the opening two sets, but Arkansas Tech rallied to win the next two, forcing a fifth set. HSU came out on top in the five-set thriller, 3-2, getting their first conference win of the season.

Christiane Uzoh registered 17 kills against the Golden Suns and now has three 17-kill matches. Uzoh's clinical attacks have her leading the team with 130 kills, averaging 2.65 per set. True freshman
Aleah Stogner continues to stay involved in the attack, finishing the match with ten kills, bringing her total to 96 for the season.

HSU's attack starts with sophomore setter
Madison Hatt who has tallied 246 assists, averaging 5.02 per set. In Tuesday's match against Arkansas Tech, Hatt was at the center of every attack, finishing with 32 assists, a season-high for the sophomore.

The Reddies are currently riding a two-match win streak over Arkansas- Monticello, defeating UAM 3-0 in the last meeting. HSU leads the head-to-head 20-13 and has won nine of the last ten matches between the two sides.

Scouting Arkansas- Monticello
UAM enter the match against the Reddies with a record of 5-8 and is 1-1 in conference play. In the Blossom's first conference match, they took down Ouachita Baptist 3-2. Freshman outside hitter Holliday Ellis led the team with 15 kills, while junior middle blocker Riley Krenek defended the net with three blocks.

The Blossom's most recent match was against Southern Arkansas University, who defeated UAM, 3-0. Arkansas- Monticello has struggled this year playing away from home. They are currently 0-2 on the road.

Arkansas- Monticello's attack features two players with over 100 kills. Both Ellis and freshman outside hitter Jasmine Welton have 111 and 102 kills, respectively. On the net, Krenek leads the defense with ten solo blocks and 18 assists, combing for 28 total blocks.

What to Watch For…
- HSU and UAM have won matches in bunches when facing each other. The Reddies started the series by winning seven in a row, but the Blossoms would go on to win nine consecutive matches. Henderson owns the most recent streak, winning seven successive matches, and are currently on a two-match win streak
