MAGNOLIA, Ark. – After two consecutive defeats, Henderson State will look to get back to winning ways when they visit Magnolia, Ark., to battle it out with Southern Arkansas University. The match's first serve begins at 6 p.m. on Thursday in the W.T. Watson Athletic Center.

HSU faced rival Ouachita Baptist in the last match. Despite a close first frame, the Reddies could not secure a set victory, falling to the Tigers 3-0. Â

Sophomore setter
Madison Hatt recorded her fourth double-double against Ouachita Baptist, accumulating 28 assists and ten digs. The sophomore continues to set the tone in attack, creating attacking opportunities all over the court with 291 assists. Â

The Reddies enter the match against SAU with two players on the GAC leaderboard.
Christiane Uzoh's 149 kills and 38 total blocks have scored HSU 175.5 points, putting her in eighth for points scored.
Trinity Sharp is the other Reddie to feature on the leaderboard. Sharp's 230 digs, the most on the team, averaging 4.04 a set, is seventh best in the conference.

Henderson has dominated the matchup against SAU, winning the last 12 matches. HSU leads the all-time series 47-14. However, when visiting Magnolia, Ark., the Reddies are only 11-8 and have struggled this year on the road.

Scouting Southern Arkansas
The Muleriders enter the match 2-12 overall and are 1-3 in conference matches. SAU was on the road the last match, taking on conference leaders Harding University, who defeated the Muleriders 3-1.

Sophomore middle hitter Ava Tanner led the attack against Harding, accumulating ten kills, bringing her total to 58, second most on the team. Landry Rogers leads the SAU attack with 130 kills, averaging a .207 attack percentage.

Rogers is one of two Muleriders to feature on the GAC leaderboard. The sophomore's 130 kills, averaging 2.83 a set, has her seventh on the kills leaderboard. Morgan Shuster leads the team with 331 assists, averaging 7.20, placing her fifth on the assist leaderboard.

- Since 2016, the Reddies have only had two seasons where they lost three GAC matches in a row. Henderson has now lost two successive GAC matches to the University of Arkansas-Monticello and Ouachita Baptist.
