ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Henderson State will look to keep the momentum going after getting its fourth GAC win when they host Southwestern Oklahoma State University on Saturday at 1 p.m.

REDDIES REPORT
Henderson (7-6, 4-3) got back in the win column with its victory over Northwestern Oklahoma State, 72-64. The Reddies dominated in the first period, holding NWOSU to eight points while the team scored 20. HSU led by 15 at the half, 34-19, but the Lady Rangers cut the advantage to six, trailing 46-40. Henderson held on in the fourth period after a high-scoring frame, which saw both teams eclipse 20 points.Â

After being held scoreless for the first time in three years against Southern Nazarene,
Ashley Farrar returned to form against NWOSU, scoring a team-high 19 points. The Green Forest, Ark. native is averaging 19 points a game, which leads the team in scoring, and is second in the league in points per game.

Farrar is one of three Reddies averaging double-digit points an outing.
Abbie Jiles and
Gracie Raby are averaging 13.2 and 10.5 points, respectively. In addition,
Sonni Martin has made the Reddies' offense tick all season with 47 total assists and has picked out the open shooter more times than she has turned the ball over (38). Martin is averaging 3.6 assists a game, which is fifth-best in the GAC.

The last time Henderson and Southwestern Oklahoma State shared the court was in the 2021-22 GAC Tournament semifinals. The Lady Bulldogs knocked the Reddies out of the tournament on their way to being crowned conference champions. Under head coach
Jill Thomas, Henderson has only beaten SWOSU three times, with the last win coming in 2016. All three wins for HSU have come inside the Duke Wells Center.

SCOUTING SOUTHWESTERN OKLAHOMA STATE
The current GAC champs are under new leadership with first-year head coach Jeff Zinn at the helm. The Lady Bulldogs fell to Ouachita Baptist in their last outing 82-67 and are now 3-4 in conference action and 3-9 overall. All three wins this season for SWOSU have come against GAC competition.

Against the Tigers, the Lady Bulldogs' top scorer Averi Zinn scored a team-high 16 points and is averaging 15.2 points a game. SWOSU's Morgan Smith scored 32 points in the team's win over Southern Arkansas and 15 against Arkansas-Monticello to earn a GAC player of the week award. Smith is the team's second-leading scorer, averaging 13.9 points a game. Â Â

SWOSU plays a clean game as the team turns the ball over the least amount of times in the conference, averaging 13.7 turnovers a game. The Lady Bulldogs have the second-best turnover margin in the league, forcing 19 turnovers a game on average, giving the team a plus-five turnover margin.
