Abbie Jiles led the team with 16 points, scoring four times from the three-point line.
Gracie Raby and
Ashley Farrar each scored 12 and 10, respectively. As a team, the Reddies shot 36.4 percent from the field and 37.0 percent from beyond the arc.

Henderson State (9-8, 6-5) hits the road for its next two contests as they face East Central on Thursday, Jan. 26 at 5:30 p.m.

An 8-0 run that featured threes from
Sonni Martin, and Jiles forced OUA to take an early timeout down 8-2 with 8:10 left in the period. Raby and Jiles would connect for back-to-back triples to extend the Reddies' 8-0 run to a 16-0 run to increase HSU's advantage to 16-2. Henderson fell into a scoring slump, not scoring for the last six minutes of the period, allowing the Tigers to claw back into the game and cut the Reddies' lead to one, 16-15 after one.

A wild start to the second period saw Ouachita Baptist score two three-pointers to start the quarter, but
Jasmine Bailey responded with one of her own as HSU now trailed the OUA 21-19. The Reddies continued to attack from deep effectively as Jiles and Martin both made triples to regain the lead for HSU 26-23. Ouachita Baptist scored six points in the final two minutes to take a one-point advantage into halftime, 31-30.

Jiles and Raby led Henderson at the half with nine points apiece as the team shot 44.0 percent from the field and 53.8 percent from beyond the arc. Ouachita Baptist was shooting 39.4 percent from the field and 20.0 percent from deep after two periods played.

Little separated the two sides at the start of the second half with the two teams tied 39-39. Henderson fell into its second scoring slump of the game, which led to Ouachita finding its range as the Tigers went on  8-0 run, forcing Henderson to call timeout with 1:47 left as OUA leads 47-39. Farrar scored a three to cut Ouachita Baptist's lead to 51-45 at the end of the third period.

The Tigers stayed on the front foot, expanding their advantage to 58-45.
JJ Eddens and Bailey converted two attempts from the foul line to cut Ouachita Baptist's lead to single digits with Tigers up 58-49. Jiles made her fourth triple of the game, but OUA responded with one of its own as the Reddies trail 61-52. The Tigers in control closed out the game with multiple trips to the foul line, 69-59.
