Reddies Clash with League Leaders Harding on Thursday

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Henderson State volleyball heads to Searcy, Ark., for a clash with league leaders Harding on Thursday, Oct. 26 at 6 p.m. inside the Rhodes-Reaves Field House.
 
REDDIES REPORT
HSU (16-8, 7-4) returned to winning ways last time out, defeating Southern Nazarene 3-1 at the Duke Wells Center. The Reddies' match against SNU concluded the swing of Oklahoma matches, as HSU finished 3-3 against Sooner State opposition.
 
Henderson State's defense racked up 22.0 total blocks over the two matches last week, including 14.0 in the 3-1 win versus Southern Nazarene. Larkin Luke and Jagoda Szybinska each registered five blocks against SNU, while Christiane Uzoh had three. Luke is fourth in the conference in blocking with 75 total blocks and has recorded the most solo blocks of any player in the league with 28.
 
Madison Hatt tallied her tenth double-double of the year in the win over SNU, with 25 assists and ten digs. The Frisco, Texas native ranks ninth in the GAC in assists with 444 across 80 sets and averaging 5.55 per frame. Along with Hatt, newcomer Emma Parsons saw her second double-double this season, logging a season-high 13 assists and ten digs. 
 
With five matches remaining in the regular season, HSU is tied with Southern Arkansas in fourth place in the conference at 7-4. Harding still holds the pole position in the league standings at 9-2, while Southwestern Oklahoma State (8-3) and Oklahoma Baptist (8-3) remain tied in second.
 
Harding got the better of Henderson State in the first meeting this season, defeating the Reddies 3-1 at the Duke Wells Center. Uzoh paced the attack that evening with 16 kills on a .433 attack average, while Luke tallied four kills and six blocks. HSU trails HU in the all-time series 18-43, heading into the 61st matchup.
 
SCOUTING HARDING
The Lady Bisons enter Thursday's contest off the back of a 1-1 week, where they split a pair of home matches. Harding (14-9, 9-2) started the week with a 3-2 victory over East Central but would later fall to Southeastern Oklahoma State in four sets.
 
Chloe Ingersoll and Skyler McKinnon paced the Harding attack in the last two matches, recording 27 and 23 kills, respectively. McKinnon is the Lady Bisons most productive hitter, leading the team with 255 kills on a .255 attack average and averaging 3.04 kills per set. As a team, Harding ranks second in the conference in points per set (16.16) and third in kills per frame (12.52).
 
The Harding defense is led by Emma Winiger in the back row and Libby Hinton on the front row. Winiger has logged 403 digs across 85 sets this season, including 89 in her last four matches, for an average of 4.74 digs per set. Hinton commands the net for the Lady Bisons with a team-high 70.0 blocks.
