GAME 1: Northwestern Oklahoma St. 4, Henderson State 3
Stevens got the scoring started in the second at-bat of the game. After
Luke Farrar opened things with a lead-off walk, Stevens sent his 26th career home run and first of the season over the wall for the 2-0 lead. Northwestern then responded with a run in the bottom of the first before a
Louis Holt single scored
Colton Patterson in the second.
Â
Starting pitcher
Ryan Galvan maintained HSU's 3-1 lead until the fourth inning, as the Reddie offense failed to get a hit over the next three innings before a Ranger sacrifice fly brought the score to within one, 3-2. Just two more hits the rest of the game for Henderson opened the door for NWOSU.
Â
Holding a 3-2 lead in the final half-inning, a walk gave way to an RBI-single that tied the score at 3-3. Two errors from the Reddie defense then allowed NWOSU to score the game-winning run with two outs against them, 4-3. Â Â Â

Â
Jacob Carroll's first home run of the season extended the visitor's lead to 4-0 in the fourth frame before NWOSU scored its first run of game number two, 4-1. Two more runs in the fifth gave HSU its game-total six runs.
