ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - Henderson State softball drops Tuesday's midweek GAC contest to Ouachita Baptist 6-0 at Sully Anderson Filed.
HSU (17-23, 9-15) will travel to Bethany, Okla. to face Southern Nazarene in a weekend series starting Friday, Apr. 14 at 3 p.m.
HSU recorded seven hits across seven innings, led by
Katelyn McMahan and
Kaitlyn O'Quinn, with two hits each.
A walk and double to left center field quickly put runners in scoring position with one out in the bottom of first for the Tigers. The fourth batter sent to the plate by OUA tripled down the right field line to score the pair and put the Tigers ahead 2-0. Another run for OUA crossed home plate on a ground out before

The Reddies threatened in the third with two runners on with two outs, however, the Tigers kept HSU off the scoreboard on line out for the final out. Ouachita Baptist added three more runs across the third and fourth frames to extend its advantage to 6-0.
Meagan Allen pitched the final 2.1 innings and allowed two hits and no runs on nine at-bats.
