ARKADELPHIA, Ark – Henderson State Volleyball wraps up a three-match home stand with a sweep against Lane College. The Reddies finish the three-match stand 2-1 before heading off for two matches in Oklahoma.

In their second match of the year the Reddies and Dragons faced off, this time in the Duke Wells Center. In the first match of the year the Reddies traveled to Lane College and swept the Dragons.
In the previous match the Reddies were led by junior
Katilyn Steffes who finished with eight kills but were able to unload their bench and allow their youth to play.

The Reddies started off hot in their second match of the year led by Steffes and an efficient offensive attack. As a team the Reddies had an attack percentage of .259 with five players hitting over .275 while have three or more kills.

In the first set the Reddies veterans showed their strengths with efficient attacks and strong defense. The Reddies went on four three-point or more runs in the set thanks to a string of Steffes and
Christiane Uzoh kills. The Reddies finished the set with a powerful kill from Steffes to win the set 25-12.

The second set was more of the same for the Reddies. While coach Phil McDaniel rotated in his underclassmen the upperclassmen gave the team a nice lead. The Reddies scored six straight points after a
Skye Johns kill leading to five straight serves from
Larkin Luke. The Reddies dominated the set and beat the Dragons 25-15.

In final set the Reddies bench was unloaded, and underclassmen
Melia Smith,
Rylee Smith,
Skye Johns,
Darian Lowden, Gooseberry Lasheena, and
Trystin Ross all saw extended minutes. The Reddies narrowly won the set 25-22.
