ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - Henderson State prepares to enter the 2024 Great American Conference Volleyball Championships as the No. 8 seed. The Reddies are set to open tournament play in a quarterfinal against No. 1 Southwestern Oklahoma State at Bank OZK Arena in Hot Springs on Thursday, November 21, at 3:00 p.m.
HSU punched its ticket to the Spa City with a 3-0 sweep of Arkansas-Monticello - a win that also helped the team secure a winning regular season. The Reddies will aim to reach the tournament final for a second consecutive year and claim the program's first GAC title.
This is Henderson's sixth conference tournament appearance in eight seasons under Phil McDaniel, who has coached the Reddies to the championship game twice in that span.
Five seniors - including Madison Hatt, Andrea Roland, Carson Edwards, Larkin Luke, and Christiane Uzoh - will help lead the team into battle. All five have appeared in at least 23 matches this season.
All-GAC honorees will be announced at the 2024 GAC Volleyball Awards Banquet in Hot Springs on Wednesday, November 20.
