CLINTON, Miss. - Henderson State is set to hit the road for a fourth time in its first five games this season. This time around, the Reddies will face Mississippi College in Clinton, Mississippi.
The Reddies will look to rebound from a 70-61 loss at Northeastern State last Wednesday.
Jadah Pickens leads the team and is third in the conference with an average of 18.3 points per game. She has scored at least 10 points in all four HSU games thus far.
Bobbi Bazzle remains one of the conference's top three rebounders with an average of eight boards per game. She paces the GAC at 3.8 offensive rebounds per game.
Taking on the role of a long-range scoring threat, Brynlee Huggins leads the Reddies with 12 three-pointers made through four contests. Her five three-point makes against Delta State are tied for the most by a Great American Conference player in a single game this season.
With a field goal percentage of .500 and 26 rebounds, Makenna Winans continues to serve as an imposing force near the basket and on the boards.
Mississippi College enters Tuesday's bout after winning four of its first five games. The Choctaws are 3-1 on their home court, including their only loss of the 2024-25 campaign thus far: a 63-60 loss to Lane College in double overtime.
MC currently tops the Gulf South Conference with 55 points allowed per game. The Choctaws also boast the league's best scoring margin at an average of plus-23.2 points.
Tiara Abron (13 points per game), Amelia Bell (12.6 points per game), and Karly Ivy (12.3 points per game) are all posting more than 12 points per game. Bell currently possesses the GSC's top three-point percentage at .619.
Tytiana Buckley's 7.6 rebounds per game average is best on the team and puts her in fifth on the conference leaderboard. Keller Bingham is also one the league's top 10 rebounders at 6.2 boards per game.
Buckley and Abron both pace Mississippi College with 10 steals on the year apiece.
