Henderson State Sweeps Southern Arkansas at Home

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Reddies dominate at home versus the Muleriders 3-0 to stay competitive for the GAC tournament's final spot.

Following a competitive match earlier in the season the Reddies faced off against the Muleriders, who they were tied with in the standings going into the night. At home the Reddies were fueled by the crowd and led throughout the match. The Reddies defense held the Muleriders below the 20-point threshold in all three sets.

The Reddies led the match in all six statistical categories including points, kills, aces, blocks, assists, and digs. Larkin Luke led all players with six blocks and Madison Hatt added 18 assists.

The first set was highlighted by a slew of Reddie runs including a four-point run to end the set. Savannah Coats added five kills and a block assist alongside Luke. One of the nation's leading attackers, Katilyn Steffes continued her success with six kills and a block assist. The Reddies won the set 25-19.

The Reddies didn't stop there and held the Crusaders to just 15 points. The Reddies combined for four aces from three different servers. The Reddies rallied for a six-point run to take a 19-10 lead. The Reddies finished the set winning 25-15.

The Reddies went into the third set looking to complete their first conference sweep in a month and did just that. The Reddies never trailed in the third set after starting 5-0. Christiane Uzoh dominated in the set with four kills and Steffes finished the match with a hard hit kill from a Braxton Jones set.

The Reddies will look to keep their conference tournament hopes alive versus Harding in Searcy on Thursday November 7 at 6 p.m.
