Reddies Drop OT Heartbreaker to Harding

ARKADELPHIA, Ark.  -  Despite career-high scoring efforts from three different players, Henderson State lost an overtime thriller by a score of 94-88.

After trailing by 11 points after the first quarter, Harding outscored the Reddies 45-28 across the second and third periods to take a six-point lead into the final 10 minutes of play. HSU closed the deficit in the fourth to force overtime for a second consecutive home game. The Bisons bested Henderson in OT to provide the final result and keep their perfect GAC record alive.

Natalie Cardenas' career high of 27 points lasted only two days, as the sophomore bested her effort at Arkansas Tech with 32 points against the Bisons. She made four of her eight attempts from deep and also went 10-for-12 at the line.

Marlee Rabee posted a career-best 17 points while leading the team with three assists.

Sam Basson also recorded a career-high 17 points while shooting 54.5 percent from the floor and 60 percent from three-point range.

Makenna Winans paced the team with seven rebounds in the loss.

Bobbi Bazzle had a career-best four blocks on the night.

The Reddies will host Southern Arkansas in their final game before the Christmas and New Year's break. Tip-off at the Duke Wells Center is set for 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 19.
