ADA, Okla. - Another school record fell Sunday afternoon as
Kaden Argenbright used a two-RBI single in the eighth inning against East Central to knot things up at 7-7, claiming his 176th and 177th career RBI.
Despite the continued record-breaking campaign from the senior, Henderson State fell in the series finale to East Central Sunday afternoon from Ken Turner Field, 8-7.
The loss on ECU's home field marks HSU's first loss in Ada since 2014 while winning 2-of-3 over the weekend has the Reddies one game out of fourth.
For the second time in six days,
Kaden Argenbright broke another school record, this time surpassing former teammate
Greyson Stevens with 177 career RBI on Sunday's get-away day.
Mitchell Szczygiel was the lone Reddie to claim multiple hits on the final day of the series, recording three base-knocks and one RBI.
Logan Cowart reached base safely three times as he logged one hit and worked two walks.
Henderson St. got things started with two runs on three hits in the first inning to open an early 2-0 lead. After a three-up, three-down showing in the home-half of the first, East Central quickly turned the tide with a six spot courtesy of six hits in the second to open a four-run lead, 6-2.
Two more runs came the way of the Reddies before ECU added an insurance run preceding the eighth inning. With the Tigers holding a 7-4 lead in the top of the eighth, an East Central fielding error followed by three consecutive walks brought in a run, leaving HSU down two with Argenbright coming to the plate.

With two outs against him, the Lone Star State product, who was 0-for-4 coming into that at-bat, delivered the record-breaking RBI with a single to right field, plating two runs to tie the game at 7-7.
The score remaining as such until the bottom of the ninth. A lead-off single was met with consecutive outs before ECU's eight-hole hitter delivered a two-out RBI single to walk it off for the home-town Tigers, 8-7.
Henderson St. (16-15, 11-7 GAC) will meet Mississippi College next in a midweek contest Tuesday, Mar. 26 at 3 p.m. at home before hosting first-place Harding in a three-game series this weekend at Clyde Berry Field.
