Box Score 2 ARKADELPHIA, Ark. --- Henderson State Volleyball wraps up Denton Volleyfest with two wins and two losses and an overall record of (7-2). On the final day of the tournament the Reddies defeated Midwestern University 3-2 and lost to Texas Woman's University 3-0.

On Saturday the Reddies faced off against Texas Woman's in their first match and could not find their groove, but freshman
Braxton Jones and sophomore
Kaylon Partain showed flashes in their play.

Jones led the team with 11 assists and totaled nine digs, second of the team in the match. Partain led the match in total digs with 21, five more than any other player.

In their second match of the day the Reddies found success against Midwestern State. Led by their defense the Reddies had 18 blocks and 88 digs.

In the first set the Reddies found themselves losing 18-10 but stormed back to a 24-24 score before losing 26-24. In the second set the Reddies, led by three blocks in a row by
Larkin Luke pulled away late winning 25-22.

The third set saw the largest margin of victory for the Reddies on the day winning 25-19. Redshirt junior
Savannah Coats totaled five kills in the set and the team contributed five blocks.

In the final set of the tournament the Reddies pulled away from Midwestern with 16 kills winning 25-20.

The Reddies are back in action Tuesday September 17 for the start of GAC play in Russellville versus Arkansas Tech.
