MAGNOLIA, Ark. – Henderson faced off against the Southern Arkansas Muleriders tonight on the road, dropping in four sets 3-1.
The Reddies were led on offense tonight by
Katilyn Steffes, who collected 17 kills on the night, while
Cassidi Campbell added 10.
Tyhia Mack led the team with 21 assists, while
Braxton Jones recorded 19. Steffes and Jones both recorded a service ace. On the defensive side,
Kaylon Partain collected 26 digs, while
Berkeley Berry and Jones each added nine. At the net, Campbell led the way for Henderson with 6.5 blocks while Steffes added two.

Southern Arkansas took an early 5-0 lead in the first set, and never gave up the lead, as they held off a Reddies comeback, winning the set 25-23.
For the second set, it was much closer early, as both teams exchanged points, with six lead changes. While the Reddies held a 20-18 lead, Southern Arkansas ultimately won the set 25-21.
In the third set, SAU took another early lead, but the Reddies came back, capturing the lead with a 5-0 run. The Reddies kept up the pressure, and held a 20-12 lead. Henderson held off a late surge and won the set 25-20.
The Muleriders took an early lead in the final set before Henderson tied it. Both teams exchanged points, but several runs by SAU kept them in the lead. Henderson mounted a comeback, bringing the score to 24-20, but lost the set and match 25-20.
