ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Following the Senior Night ceremony for
Braydon Redd and
Tim McDonald the Reddies fell by six to their in-state opponent.
Â
Behind 20 points from
Nehikhare Igiehon on 8-15 shooting from the field the Reddies struggled scoring the ball in the second half. A rough shooting performance in the second half was the nail in the coffin for HSU. The Reddies shot well below the season percentages from every where besides the free throw line.
Â
Just one other player joined Igiehon in double figures,
Matthew Mayes. Mayes collected two steals on the night, increasing his season total to 66, tying the Henderson State record for steals in a season. Mayes will look to surpass Kenyuan Morris's 2000-01 steals record on Saturday versus Harding.
Â
HSU was outrebounded on the night by three but shot nearly eight percentage points worse than the Wonder Boys.
Â
Tim McDonald played his final game as a Reddie in the Duke Wells Center, grabbing seven rebounds and collecting two steals. Â
Â
Braydon Redd finished his home college career as well as a Reddie and started his first game as a Reddie.
Â
The Reddies will wrap up the 2024-25 regular season on the road in Searcy, Ark. at 7:30 p.m. versus Harding on their Senior Night.
