SEARCY, Ark. — A three hit night from Luke Farrar was not enough to overcome Friday night as the Reddies fell to the Harding Bisons in 11 innings in game one of the 2025 GAC Championship series in Searcy.

Farrar started the night off hot, taking the first pitch of the game from Harding's Maddox Long over the left centerfield wall to give HSU the 1-0 advantage. Luke Rice's double in the third inning scored Louis Holt and doubled the lead.

Errors were the story of the night however, as the Reddies committed four throughout the night, contributing to two unearned runs.

The Reddies held Harding scoreless through the seventh and eighth innings, and were one out away after a leaping catch by Nate Moore to rob the Bisons of extra bases. Harding was able to take an 0-1 pitch into left field to tie the game, sending it to extras. HSU was held hitless in extra innings, and Harding singled with two outs in the bottom of the 11th to end the game.

Henderson State (31-21) now trails in the series 1-0 and will face a must win game on Saturday to keep their championship hopes alive. First pitch from Jerry Moore Field is scheduled for 2:00.
