Reddie Cross Country Finishes Fifth at Bison Invitational

SEARCY, Ark. – Henderson State Cross Country traveled to Searcy for the Bison Invitational hosted by Harding University. Friday's run was the first match of the season for the Reddies.

The Reddies finished fifth in the seven team race, but each individual runner placed within the top 60 runners. Jaide Tatum ran the best time for the team, placing 32nd with a time of 22:45.41, setting a new personal best by less than a tenth of a second

Angela Dorado Marin placed 35th, just over two minutes behind Tatum. Adriana Montiel-Lopez was the third Reddie to finish the course, posting a time of 24:29.10 in her first race for HSU.

Karen Campos finished 48th on the day. The UA-Rich Mountain transfer ran 25:44.2 in her first match for the Reddies. Kristina Kozlova was less than 30 seconds behind her teammate, finishing in just over 26 minutes.

Lainey Mungle (27:34.04), Lily Winter (28:50.35), and Kamie Knowlton (29:59.12) rounded out Henderson's scores on the day.

Reddie Cross Country will be back in action on Saturday, October 4th, as they head to Fayetteville to participate in the Chile Pepper Invitational, hosted by the University of Arkansas.
