RUSSELLVILLE, Ark.- Katilyn Steffes was named GAC Offensive Player of the Week after helping Henderson State to a 3-1 weekend during the Reddie-Tiger Challenge, recording wins over Auburn-Montgomery 3-0, Mississippi College 3-1, and University of Texas, Dallas 3-2. Steffes is the first Reddie to earn the weekly honor this season.

The Rochester, Minnesota native started off with a double-double against Auburn-Montgomery, recording 14 kills on 41 attacks for a .293 hitting percentage, and 12 digs. Steffes followed that up with 17 kills and only one attack error for a .364 hitting percentage along with 12 digs against Mississippi College. In the final match against UT-Dallas, Steffes was hot, recording a season-high 28 kills with only five attack errors, with a hitting percentage of .29, and she added 16 digs.

She currently leads the team in kills (122), kills per set (3.94), and ranks second in digs (99).

Steffes and the Reddies (4-4, 0-0) open the GAC conference play against Arkansas Tech at home on Tuesday, September 16th at 6:30 pm in the Duke Wells Center.
