Box Score ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Henderson took on Arkansas Tech in the first GAC matchup of the season 3-0.

The Reddies showed flashes on offense with Katilyn Steffes recording a team-leading 10 kills, while Cassidi Campbell followed with 5. Jessie Jerome provided 14 assists on the night. Defensively, the Reddies were led by Kaylon Partain with 14 digs, while Cassidi Campbell and Savannah Coats collected three blocks each.

Set 1
The first set started off rough, with the Golden Suns taking a quick 4-0 run to go up 4-1. The Reddies were able to fight back to bring it to 7-7, but Tech kept up the pressure, ultimately winning the first set 25-20.

Set 2
The second set was all Arkansas Tech, as they went on a 15-0 run before the Reddies were able to mount a comeback. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough and the Reddies lost the second set 25-14.

Set 3
The final set was a much closer affair early, with the score remaining tight until the Golden Suns used a 4-0 lead to pull ahead 11-6. The Reddies responded with their own run to bring it to 11-10, and some key service errors by Arkansas Tech gave the Reddies the lead 18-17. Unfortunately, the Golden Suns went on a 5-0 run to win the set 25-19.
