Katilyn Steffes earned Back to back GAC Offensive Player of the Week this season after helping Henderson State to a 3-1 weekend during the Bettye Wallace Classic, recording wins over Missouri Southern State 3-2, Drury 3-1, and Pittsburg State 3-0.
The Rochester, Minnesota native recorded a double-double in every match-up this weekend, with her best coming against Missouri Southern State, where she recorded 19 kills on a .283 attack percentage and provided 13 digs on defense. Against Drury, Steffes had 18 kills on a .231 attack percentage with 18 digs. In the final match of the weekend, Steffes had 11 kills on a .313 attack percentage to go with 17 digs.
She currently leads the team in kills (197), kills per set (4.02), and ranks second in digs (165).
Steffes and the Reddies (7-6, 0-1) return to GAC conference play, as they travel to Searcy to face Harding at the Rhodes-Reaves Field House, September 23rd at 6:00 PM.
