Women's Basketball Game Notes

ARKADELPHIA, Ark.- The Reddies will continue their road trip this weekend in Bethany, Oklahoma, where they'll face the Crimson Storm of Southern Nazarene. Tip off is scheduled for 1:00 P.M in the Sawyer Center.

Reddie Report
Henderson State continue their road trip, after loosing to Oklahoma Baptist on Thursday 76-70.

The Reddie offense struggled to make shots early on Thursday, as they averaged 32.3 percent from the field until the fourth quarter, where they got hot late, shooting 62.5 percent from the field. For most of the game, the Reddies shot well from three, managing a 66.7 shooting percentage, including a perfect night from Jayla Lewis.

The Reddies were out-rebounded 40-32 against Oklahoma Baptist, adding to the offensive struggles, with Henderson State only managing nine offensive rebounds.

Henderson State's defense continues to be porous, as they are giving up the third-most points per game in the GAC (69.9), which has been eclipsed by their opponents the last two match ups.

Scouting Southern Nazarene
The Crimson Storm defeated Ouachita Baptist on Thursday, 69-53, putting them still in the running for the GAC tournament, as they sit in a four-way tie at 9-10 in conference play.

Southern Nazarene's offense outperformed their season averages in their match up against Ouachita, putting up 69 points, whereas they've been averaging 62.5 points per game, tenth in the GAC.

Defensively, the Crimson Storm are in the middle of the pack in the GAC, as opponents are averaging 65.0 points per game. But, in the last few weeks, SNU has limited their opponents to an average of 57.4 points per game. Against Ouachita, the Crimson Storm limited the Tigers to a 22.7 shooting percentage from three.

Southern Nazarene is the weakest rebounding team in the GAC, managing 790 rebounds on the season, an average of 34.3 rebounds per game. Their strength lies in offensive rebounds, as they average 11.0 offensive rebounds per game. Expect SNU to generate second chance shots for their offense.

The Reddies defeated the Crimson Storm the last time they met, winning 96-85 in an overtime thriller in the Duke Wells Center. When playing in the Sawyer Center, since 2011-12, HSU is 3-10 against SNU, and is 12-16 all time.
