2025-26 Women's Basketball Game Notes
ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Reddies are continuing their four-game home stand with a match up against Southern Arkansas that was originally scheduled back in January. Tip off for this game is set for 5:30 PM on Monday, February 9th in the Duke Wells Center.
Reddie Report
Henderson State fell to Southwestern Oklahoma State on Thursday, losing 57-73.
This Reddie offense has faltered in recent weeks, and still ranks third in points per game (71.8), while the shooting percentage ranks eighth in the conference (39.4).
Natalie Cardenas is the lead scorer for Henderson State, ranking fourth in the GAC with a 18.3 points per game mark.
Henderson State ranks fourth in the GAC in three-point percentage (33.2), while attempting the fifth-lowest amount of threes this season (395).
Brynlee Huggins leads the Reddies, and ranks ninth in the GAC with a 37.0 shooting percentage from three.
Rebounds continues to be a struggle for the Reddies, as they have been out-rebounded the last four games. Henderson State sits ranked sixth in the GAC, averaging 37.1 rebounds per games.
Grayson Fairless leads the Reddies, averaging 10.6 rebounds per game, which still leads the GAC.
Henderson State protects the ball well, as they have given up the fewest turnovers in the GAC, surrendering the ball only 237 times. The Reddies have forced 266 turnovers, averaging 14.2 points per game off of those turnovers.
Scouting Southern Arkansas
SAU faced Southeastern Oklahoma State on Saturday, and ultimately lost 50-76.
