MARSHALL, Texas. – Reddie Tennis (6-6) began a two-match road trip in Texas today, facing off against East Texas Baptist. The Reddies pulled out a match win 5-2 with another doubles sweep, and some strong singles performances.
Doubles
Every Henderson State duo defeated their opponent soundly.
Kristina Kozlova and
Jenna Kate Bohnert in the No. 2 position swept their opponents 6-0 win to begin the day.
Emilia Nowak and
Jordan Parker clinched the doubles point defeating the No. 1 pairing 6-2, and then
Lily Winter and
Lainey Mungle completed the sweep with a tightly fought 7-6 (3) win in the No. 3 spot.
Singles
In the singles matches, Henderson State claimed four wins, with
Emilia Nowak winning in the No. 2 position 6-1, 6-0.
Jordan Parker and
Lainey Mungle secured wins in the No. 3 and No. 5 positions 6-1, 6-0 and 6-2, 6-0 respectively to clinch the match for the Reddies. Then
Kristina Kozlova secured the final point in a tough battle in the No. 1 position, defeating her opponent Monique Ybarra 7-5, 7-6 (5).
