DURANT, Okla. – Reddie Tennis (9-8, 3-1) headed to Durant Oklahoma for the first road matchup of GAC play today, ultimately falling in a closely fought match 4-3 to the Savage Storm.
Doubles
The Reddies opened the day with a sweep in the doubles play, with
Adiya Abdugappar and
Jenna Kate Bohnert opening the day with a 6-2 win in the No. position. Then in the No. 3 spot,
Angela Dorado Marin and
Kristina Kozlova defeated their opponents 6-4 to clinch the point, before
Emilia Nowak and
Jordan Parker bested the No. 1 pairing 7-5 to complete the sweep.
Singles
In the singles matches, it was a hard-fought battle for the Reddies, as they led 2-1 after Marin bested Sophia Brooks-Gay in the No. 4 spot 6-1, 6-3. The Reddies then fell behind 3-2 going into the last two singles matches. Nowak defeated Emilia O'Neill in the No. 2 position 5-7, 6-2, 6-4 to tie it 3-3, but the Reddies couldn't pull it out and fell 4-3.

Henderson State will continue home for their last home match of the season, hosting Ouachita Baptist in the Battle of the Ravine. The match is scheduled for Friday April 24th, with the match set to start at 2:00 P.M at the Bettye Wallace Tennis Center.
