2017-18: Named a 2017-18 CSCAA Scholar All-American following his junior season. . . Won the 200m medley relay (1:36.49), the 200m freestyle relay (1:26.28), the 400m freestyle relay (3:14.26), the 400m medley relay (3:39.04) and the 100m individual breaststroke (48.20) against Texas-Permian Basin. . . Took first in the 50m freestyle (21.44) against Delta State. . . Won the 100m breaststroke (57.08), the 200m freestyle relay (1:22.14), the 400m freestyle relay (3:02.53) and the 400m medley relay (3:26.33) at the Trinity Invitational. . . In the Red Wave’s second matchup against Ouachita Baptist, Nguyen won the 50m freestyle with a time of 21.44, as well as the 400m medley relay, clocking in at 3:28.52. . . At the NSISC Championships, Nguyen finished third in the 200m freestyle relay (1:22.09), the 200m  medley relay (1:29.96), the 400m freestyle relay (3:00.83) and the 400m medley relay (3:17.40). . . He also placed sixth in the 50m freestyle (20.71), seventh in the 100m breaststroke (56.60) and 14th in the 100m freestyle with a time of 46.03. . . A member of the 200m freestyle team that qualified for the NCAA Consolation Finals (1:21.57), as well as the 400m medley relay team that finished with a time of 3:18.47.

COLLEGE: Attended the University of Incarnate Word.

PREP: Attended Kiev Gymnaium and swam for Olga Leonidovna . . . Set the school record in the 50 free, 100 free, 50 fly, and 50 breaststroke.
