2017-18:  Turned in a time of 1:58.40 in the 200m butterfly to claim victory against Ouachita Baptist . . . Member of the third-place 200m medley relay team at the NSISC Championships (1:29.86). . . Took second at the NSISC Championships in the 100m butterfly (48.33). . . Part of the third-place 400m medley relay team at the NSISC Championships (3:17.40). . . Chaves finished fifth in the 100m backstroke with a time of 50.20, and third in the 200m backstroke with a time of 1:48.99 at the NSISC Championships. . .  A member of the 200m freestyle foursome to qualify for the NCAA Consolation Finals with a time of 1:21.57. . . Also qualified for the NCAA Consolation Finals as a member of the 400m medley team, clocking a time of 3:18.47.
