COLLEGE: Played two seasons at the University of the Incarnate Word. . . Appeared in 88 games, making 78 starts. . .  Led the team with a .286 batting average during her sophomore season while scoring 14 runs and collecting 6 RBIs. . . Batted .282 throughout her freshman year, and was second on the squad with 19 runs scored.
 
PREP: Four-year letterwinner at Wichita Falls High School. . . Lopez was named first-team All-District all four years. . . She was a three-time Red River Diamond Dozen Outfielder of the year, and a three-time Offensive MVP. . . She also garnered the Defensive MVP award and was named Lady Coyote of the Year following her senior season. . . Lopez was recognized for her work in the classroom as well, as a two-time Academic All-District selection, and Academic-All State. . . She also lettered in track and cross country.
 
PERSONAL: Born November 5, 1996 . . . Daughter of Juan and Johanna Lopez. . . Has two brothers, Juan Lopez III and Michael Castillo. . .  In her spare time, Marcela enjoys spending time with her dog, hiking, traveling, cooking and canoeing . . . Majoring in Nursing.
