Biography
2023-24: Saw two individual Top-8 finishes at the 2024 NSISC Championships in the 100-yard backstroke (50.65, fifth) and the 50-yard freestyle (20.37, seventh) . . . Served as the final leg in HSU's first-place 200-yard medley relay and first-place 200-yard freestyle relay at the conference championships . . . Was named First Team All-NSISC for his performance in the 200 medley relay and 200 free relay . . . Earned a 2024 Nationals 'B' cut with a 20.37 in the 50 free for seventh place.
2022-23: Earned All-American status at the 2023 NCAA National Championship, serving as a leg in HSU’s third-place 200 free relay team (1:18.14) . . . Swam a leg in Henderson’s first-place finishes in the 200 free relay team (1:18.89) and 200 medley relay team (1:28.01) at the 2023 NSISC Championships.Â
2019-2020: Kicked off Henderson career with a bang, topping the podium at the season-opening Texas-Permian Basin Invitational in the 50-yard freestyle, touching the wall at 22.09 . . . Sprinted atop the field at the Little Rock Invitational in the 50 free (21.46) . . . Dominated for top honors in the 100 breaststroke (1:02.16) against rival Ouachita Baptist, while earning the top spot in the second meeting in the 400 free relay (3:10.75) with Jason Seiner, Ryan Brown, and Till Steyer . . . Bested the field yet again in the 50 free (21.83) and the 400 free relay (3:12.87) with Oscar Patten, Zach Hansen, and Seiner at the Hendrix Classic . . . Swept the 200 free relay in both meetings with Delta St. while claiming the top spot in the 50 free (21.81) . . . Top point-earner on day one of the Trinity Invitational after taking gold in the 200 free relay (1:23.96) with Patten, Brown, and Seiner . . . First to touch the wall with Ty Gibbs, Stephen Jones, and Brown at the Henderson State Invitational in the 400 free relay (3:09.51), only to do it again at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock in the 200 free (1:24.97) with Brown, Seiner, and Jones . . . Two second-place finishes at the end-of-year New South Intercollegiate Swim Conference Championship in the 200 and 400 medley relay (1:31.14, 3:23.56, respectively) and a top finish in the 400 free relay (3:00.40) with Jones, Gibbs, and Brown.
PREP: Three-year letter winner at Clear Creek High School. . . Finished ninth in the Texas State Finals in the 50 free and 100 free. . . Served as the captain of the Wildcats as a senior. . . Won three letters in Water Polo and was named to the All-Region team.
