The Bettye Wallace Tennis Center, whose namesake has played a leading role in the promotion of women's athletics in Arkansas and through the nation, provides a coach's office and storage for the Henderson State Women's Tennis program. The facility features six lighted playing courts.
Numerous conference and high school championship events have taken place here through the years.
Wallace participated in tennis in 1949 and 1950. She coached at Henderson from 1963-87. In 1975, she led the AWISA champion volleyball team. She was awarded the Volleyball Coach of the Year in 1981 and Tennis Coach of the Year in 1986. She was also the women's athletic director at Henderson.Â
