Biography

2023: Was 2-0 on the mound with a 3.72 ERA, making 16 relief appearances . . . Recorded 19 strikeouts in only 19.1 innings of work . . .  Claimed a season-high seven strikeouts in just 3.1 innings of relief against Oklahoma Baptist (May 12) in the GAC Tournament, allowing just one run on two hits . . . Struck out three of the four batters he faced on the road at No. 14 Southern Arkansas (Mar. 21) in one inning as part of a 4-1 victory.

2022: Went 1-0 on the mound and picked up a save in 8.1 innings of work in 2022 . . . Win came in relief after throwing 1.2 innings against Delta State (Feb. 7), recording four strikeouts while allowing just two runs on two hits . . . Save came against Oklahoma Baptist (Feb. 19), throwing one full scoreless inning to complete the weekend sweep.  

2021: Did not make an appearance.

2020: Appeared in three games for Henderson . . . Held the third-best ERA at 1.93 through 4.2 innings pitched . . . Recorded six strikeouts.

2019: Threw 3.0 innings while giving up one earned run and striking out three batters in one appearance for the Reddies.

2018: Redshirted

PREP: A multiple sport athlete at Bauxite High School, lettering four years in baseball, twice in golf and once in football . . . Was a member on the National Honor Society, Bauxite Christian Council and was the class president.

PERSONAL: Born August 10, 1999 . . . The son of Jimmy and Tammi Pennington . . . Has one brother, Brett . . . Enjoys singing in the church band . . . Majoring in biology.
