PREP: Lettered three times at Arkansas Powerhouse, Bentonville High (Bentnville, Ark.)…Spent two seasons as the Tigers’ starting quarterback and led the team to an astounding 25-1 record that included a state championship in his junior year and a state runner-up finish in his senior year…At BHS; he completed nearly 3/4 of his pass attempts and totaled over 6,600 yards through the air while tossing 69 touchdowns…Tabbed as the Newcomer of the Year in his first season under center as a junior…As a senior was named to the all-state team and was the Arkansas 7A Offensive Player of the Year…He was also chosen as a Hooten’s Award Finalist as a senior.
