Kristen Hamilton begins her fourth season as the assistant softball coach at Henderson State in 2023-24.
Hamilton came to Arkadelphia following a year as the student assistant coach at Great American Conference rival Arkansas Tech.
Prior to entering the coaching ranks, Hamilton enjoyed a stand-out playing career for the Golden Suns from 2017-19. During her two seasons at Tech, Hamilton was a two-time All-GAC selection, earned academic All-American honors, won 29 games in the circle with a 2.90 career ERA, and helped lead ATU to a GAC Championship in 2019. The Golden Suns were 91-34 overall during her time in Russellville, Arkansas.
Before arriving to Arkansas Tech, Hamilton played two seasons for Crowder College in Neosho, Missouri, where she was a First Team Midwest All-Region selection and a Third Team NJCAA All-American in 2017.
Hamilton earned her bachelor’s degree in Professional Studies with an emphasis on Interdisciplinary Studies from Arkansas Tech in the spring of 2020.
