Gage Billings begins his first season at Henderson State in 2026-27.
Most recently, Billings served as an assistant coach at Meridian Community College, where he helped guide the program to one of the most successful seasons in school history. During his tenure, the Eagles recorded the first 30-win season of the NJCAA Division II era, earned the program’s first national ranking in the Division II era, and became the first team in school history to qualify for the MACCC Region 23 Playoffs. Billings also helped develop five All-MACCC selections during his time at Meridian.
Prior to Meridian, Billings served as an assistant coach at East Mississippi Community College, continuing to build his reputation as a player developer and recruiter. His time in Scooba produced two All-MACCC selections.Â
Before entering the collegiate coaching ranks, Billings coached at D’Iberville High School, where he was part of a highly successful program that captured three Region 4-6A Championships. During his time with the Warriors, he also helped coach the Sun Herald Player of the Year.
Billings began his coaching career as a student assistant at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, gaining valuable experience while completing his education and laying the foundation for his future in coaching.
Billings was a two-sport athlete at Copiah-Lincoln Community College, lettering in both baseball and soccer. His diverse athletic background and passion for player development continue to shape his coaching philosophy and impact on student-athletes.
A native of D’Iberville, Mississippi, Billings graduated from D’Iberville High School in 2016. He later earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Coaching from the University of Southern Mississippi.
