Henderson State University Athletics

Lenette Jones begins her 13th year at Henderson State University as Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Affairs/ Compliance Coordinator in 2025-26. Jones also serves as Henderson's Senior Woman Administrator.

Jones’ compliance duties consist of monitoring the department’s compliance with NCAA, Great American Conference rules and regulations, as well as institutional policies. Jones is a resource to coaches, student-athletes, and boosters in relation to NCAA compliance rules and education.

Jones has been on staff with HSU since 2005, serving the first eight as the Coordinator of Athletic Academic Success Office. Jones earned a bachelor’s degree in Recreation from HSU in 2000 and a master’s degree in Sports Administration from HSU in 2002. Jones holds memberships in NAAC (National Association of Athletics Compliance) and NACWAA (National Association of Collegiate Women’s Athletic Administrators), and National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics (N4A).

Prior to arriving at Henderson State, Jones worked as special services coordinator for the City of Sherwood Department of Parks and Recreation. Jones also worked as an assistant recreation coordinator for the Arkansas Easter Seals in Little Rock.

Jones earned her bachelor of science in recreation at Henderson State in 2000. In 2002, she earned her master’s degree of science in sports administration.

Jones is a member of the National Association for Athletics Compliance as well as the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics.
