Aungelique Sledge was named Great American Conference Women’s Basketball Co-Player of the Week for her performance last week against Southwestern Oklahoma.

Sledge recorded her second double-double of the year scoring 35 points while grabbing a career-best 16 rebounds against the Bulldogs.

The senior from West Helena, Ark. also had five assists along with four steals. Sledge was 15-of-26 from the field and 3-of-5 from three-point range.

Sledge moved into sixth-place all-time in career scoring at Henderson State with 1,077 points. 

For the season, Sledge is averaging 18.6 points per game which ranks fourth in the GAC.
