For the 12th time in his career, Henderson State's Kevin Rodgers was named the Great American Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in last Thursday's 60-17 win over Southeastern Oklahoma.
In front of a CBS Sports Network audience, Rodgers completed 29 of 41 passes for 382 yards and a pair of touchdown tosses.
Rodgers, who opened the game with a 62-yard touchdown strike to Joseph Snapp on the first play from scrimmage, set the Arkansas collegiate career passing record previously held by Ryan Aplin of Arkansas State. Aplin threw for 10,758 yards from 2009-12. Rodgers ran his career total to 11,035 yards in 34 games.
The senior from Rockwall, Texas also threw his 100th career touchdown pass which ties him with Nathan Brown of Central Arkansas. Rodgers is only the 21st player in Division II history to throw for 10,000 yards and 100 touchdowns in a career.
Rodgers is averaging 319.7 yards per game and has thrown 10 touchdown passes this season.   Â
