Houston Ray earned Great American Conference Special Team Player of the Week after kicking three field goals and five extra points in Henderson's win over East Central.

 

Ray began the game with a 22-yard field goal on Henderson’s opening drive and followed with a 39-yard boot early in the third quarter.

 

Ray was 5-for-5 on point after touchdowns and finished the game with 14 points scored.
Ray also handled the kickoffs for Henderson, averaging 60.2 yards on nine kicks.
On the year, Ray is 7-for-8 on field goals including going 3-for-3 on field goals of 40 yards or more with his longest being a 43-yard kick against Nicholls State.
He has been successful on 22-of-23 extra points and is averaging 10.75 points per game.
