It came down to the final event as the Henderson State 200-yard freestyle relay team raced to a first-place finish to lead the Lady Red Wave swim team to a 117-110 win over Ouachita Baptist.
The 200 free relay team of Erin Beu,
Victoria Culliver,
Jeanne Miller, and
Lauren Sutton finished with a time of 1:40.81, while OBU's team finished with a mark of 1:42.00.
OBU began the day winning the first two events before Sutton took first-place in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:57.68. Sutton also won the 100 freestyle with a time of 53.64.
Beu turned in a second-place finish in the 50 yard freestyle (25.02), with
Mary Andrews finishing second in the 100 butterfly touching the wall in a time of 59.94 while also finishing third in the 100 backstroke (1:01.60).
Chelsea Leary continued her stellar career winning two events by claiming the 200 individual medley (2:12.85) and the 100 yard backstroke (59.51).
Henderson also had second place finishes in the 500 freestyle and the 100 breaststroke as
Jeanne Miller had a time of 5:22.06 in the 500 freestyle with Camille Leary having a time of 1:12.09 in the 100 breaststroke.
Emily Wright won both diving events finishing with a score of 189.85 in the 1-,meter competition, and 186.60 in the 3-meter event.
