Henderson State put on a dominating performance as the Lady Reddies cruised to a 78-49 win over Ouachita Baptist in the Southern Bancorp Battle of the Ravine, Thursday at the Duke Wells Center in Arkadelphia, Ark.
Henderson State, 11-5 overall and 6-4 in the Great American Conference, remained perfect at home as the Lady Reddies improved to 8-0 in the Duke Wells Center.
OBU, 4-12 overall and 2-8 in the GAC, jumped out to a quick 7-0 lead before the Lady Reddies went on a 10-0 run, jump-started by 
Dulincia Keener's layup at the 18:11 mark.
The Lady Tigers struggled with Henderson's defense the remainder of the half as OBU made just 5 of its next 23 shots.
The Lady Reddies finished the half shooting a sizzling 67 percent making 16-of-24 shots from the floor to take a 37-21 lead at the break.
Henderson scored 26 points in the paint off of some nifty assists by 
Taylor Washington and 
Aungelique Sledge.
The Lady Reddies were never threatened in the second half as Henderson got balanced scoring and owned the game in the paint outrebounding OBU 49 to 29.
Tiara Davis recorded her second double-double of the year having 17 points and 13 rebounds, while Sledge ended with 18 points and 8 rebounds.
Krystal Beachum had another strong performance scoring 17 points and grabbing 9 rebounds. Washington ended the game with 8 points while compiling 5 assists.
Henderson State ended the game shooting 53 percent from the field making 28-of-53 attempts, while Ouachita Baptist was a dismal 28 percent from the floor converting on just 19-of-67 attempts.
The Lady Reddies were a force in the paint outscoring the Lady Tigers 48 to 22.
Henderson State will next travel to Monticello on Saturday to face Arkansas-Monticello with tip-off set for 2 p.m.
