The Henderson State volleyball team turned in an impressive performance on Friday evening, defeating Southeastern Oklahoma 3-1 in Great American Conference action at the Duke Wells Center.
HSU saw stellar play from
Jessie Jacoby and
Gabby Ginapp, as each contributed 15 kills.
Ginapp hit at a team-high .545 percentage, while
Kaylie Pyles also had a solid night contributing 14 kills at a .278 hitting percentage.
Violet Williams rounded out in kills for HSU as she had six spikes.
Brea May dished out 35 set assists to lead the way for HSU, while
Sydney Skelton led in digs with 17.
Skelton also contributed three service aces on the night, as the Reddies finished with eight.
Julianna Adams would also pitch in 12 set assists and two service aces.
HSU would take the first set from the Savage Storm by a score of 25-20 before falling in the second 25-12 to make the match score 1-1.
However, HSU would rally and take the next two sets by scores of 25-23 and 25-21 to claim the victory.
The match ended as Jacoby was successful on a service ace to preserve the win.
HSU returns to action on Saturday as the Reddies square off against conference opponent East Central at the Duke Wells Center with first serve slated for 2 p.m.
